After graduating from the University of Michigan and the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Bucholz completed his surgical residency at Des Moines General Hospital. Since then, he has practiced in Galveston, TX for over 25 years.

In addition to his major education, Dr. Bucholz has continued his training, completing medical courses in diabetic foot care, geriatrics, endoscopic foot surgery, laser surgery, and biomechanics. Dr. Bucholz is also a member of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association, The American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Galveston Chamber of Commerce.

As a runner and athlete, Dr. Bucholz is well equipped to provide sports medicine to both the serious athlete and weekend warrior. A resident of Friendswood, TX, Gary and his wife, Judi, have three children and pets.
